I did, I spent it with friends up the coast. It was just lovely. The boys stayed home and hung out with their pals and had a good time of their own. A win was even a win at the soccer match on Saturday (Yay!)
I managed to knit a bit here and there. These are all friends that are used to me carrying about bags of yarn and knitting everywhere with them. A few even knit a bit, quite well. They are just not insane about it like me. heh.
We went into town on the last day and we split up walking and I started getting a flurry of texts:
"yarn shop!!"
There was a 20% off sale, so despite my commitment to not buy anymore yarn this year ...
I bought 3 skeins of Madelinetosh Merino in Earl Grey.
Trick or treat ;)
The beach picture is great and the yarn shop looks like fun! That MadTosh is yummy…and hey, diets are meant to be broken when extra-special treats fall into your lap ;)
ReplyDeleteYou had a fabulous weekend ! I like all of California but I absolutely love the North. Beautiful Tosh from a sweet little yarn shoppe. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see you bought some presents for yourself! lovely yarn and with a discount how could you not buy yarn?
ReplyDeleteOoooh, your friends are enablers! Did they purchase any yarn?
ReplyDeleteLove the yarn - hard to go wrong with a colorway named Earl Grey. ;o)
Oh I love the Earl Grey Score. You had to buy, it was on sale and friends texted you over to the store!! It would have been RUDE not to! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a treat! Enjoy your yarn purchase :-)
ReplyDeleteVacation yarn doesn't count toward the stash ........you HAVE to buy vacation yarn (and a vacation is any shop away from your home town yarn shop) ---- looks like you made a lovely choice too.
ReplyDelete20% off!!! There's no way you can pass that up! I can't even pass up regular price Tosh. Lovely color. So, what'cha making with it?
ReplyDeleteGreat find! Those sample hats in the shop are to die for.
ReplyDeleteThe beach and a yarn shop, what could be better? A discount!! Love the yarn! So where was that yarn shop anyhow?
ReplyDeleteThere is no way you could have passed up that yarn especially at 20% off. Besides trip yarn doesn't count against your stash.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
