Wednesday Work In Progress

I'm okay with admitting my life is a WIP. There are moments I'm trucking along and moments I need a jump start. Thankfully I've been getting a few rows in here and there to keep perspective, because that's what knitting does for me.

I'm half a (possibly shortish) sleeve away from finishing that cardigan so I'm going to save that for another post and show you some purse sized stripes.

Really calming a pair of stockinette socks on the needles.

More posts on what I've been up to lately.  Per usual a little this and more baking ...

  1. Pretty colors in those stripes. :-)

I suppose we are all pretty much WIPs.

  2. Sock knitting is really calming isn't it? Those stripes are anything but though...they are WILD!

  4. Congratulations on getting closer to finishing a sleeve for the cardigan. Large projects progress so slooowly sometimes, which is why I also love knitting socks for more visible signs of progress. I love how the sock yarn is striping!

  5. I'm jealous......my cardigan hasn't even been cast on yet! I have the pattern. That's as far as I've gotten. :-(

    1. It is WYS West Yorkshire Spinners, Signature line. I don't have a specific colorway on the label, but it's based on a line that is inspired from their local bird life :)

  10. You mean there's a point where our lives are a FO? And just what point is that? When I'm dead? Cause it for sure ain't happening while I am walking this earth. I have to rip back soon many times to get back on the right path. :O

  12. My life is a constant work in progress, it is always changing and shifting and for someone who does not like change that is hard to handle. Thank God for yarn.

  13. I sympathize on the cardigan...I usually lose interest on larger projects; so unlike me in other areas! This is a very pretty sock!

  14. Totally agree with the relaxing nature of plain vanilla socks. Love the stripey goodness of that yarn. I splurged and ordered a few colourways of WYS this week.
