I'm half a (possibly shortish) sleeve away from finishing that cardigan so I'm going to save that for another post and show you some purse sized stripes.
Really calming a pair of stockinette socks on the needles.
More posts on what I've been up to lately. Per usual a little this and more baking ...
Pretty colors in those stripes. :-)
ReplyDeleteI suppose we are all pretty much WIPs.
Sock knitting is really calming isn't it? Those stripes are anything but though...they are WILD!
ReplyDeleteThose look like Easter colored stripes to me!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting closer to finishing a sleeve for the cardigan. Large projects progress so slooowly sometimes, which is why I also love knitting socks for more visible signs of progress. I love how the sock yarn is striping!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous......my cardigan hasn't even been cast on yet! I have the pattern. That's as far as I've gotten. :-(
ReplyDeleteLove the yarn! What is it?
ReplyDeleteIt is WYS West Yorkshire Spinners, Signature line. I don't have a specific colorway on the label, but it's based on a line that is inspired from their local bird life :)
DeleteYou cardigan knitters just amaze me. Such big projects. SUch important measuring. Love your sock too. I think I'm like Nancy and like socks for the turns and parts and quick finishes
ReplyDeleteComfort knitting can't be beat.
ReplyDeletenothing better than a little mindless sock knitting!
ReplyDeleteYou mean there's a point where our lives are a FO? And just what point is that? When I'm dead? Cause it for sure ain't happening while I am walking this earth. I have to rip back soon many times to get back on the right path. :O
ReplyDeleteJust ripped back on a sweater...some days are like that, I guess. Nice socks!
ReplyDeleteMy life is a constant work in progress, it is always changing and shifting and for someone who does not like change that is hard to handle. Thank God for yarn.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
I sympathize on the cardigan...I usually lose interest on larger projects; so unlike me in other areas! This is a very pretty sock!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with the relaxing nature of plain vanilla socks. Love the stripey goodness of that yarn. I splurged and ordered a few colourways of WYS this week.
