Picking up the pieces

have pulled my old Banana Leaf scarf out of hibernation. It's really a perfect summer knit though I have to say that summer knitting in San Francisco isn't exactly ... taxing.

The wind was whipping today. The morning was partly cloudy but I barely needed my cardigan for my lunchtime putter.

Anyhow sunshine and green. This is my dedicated knit. I started and stopped casting on socks. Stay tuned!

That is the PERFECT color for banana leaf! Is the yarn Malabrigo?

  2. Gorgeous colours in that scarf, cool and summery. Love the texture too. No need for a scarf here at the moment and I'm sewing instead of knitting, but knowing I'll love knitting even more when the time comes to return to it. CJ xx

  10. Very pretty! Love the color and the intriguing name for the pattern. Enjoy SF, their weather is similar to ours which right now is rainy and chilly. However, yesterday it was EIGHTY!

  11. Love the green!!! I am sticking to small items or AC knitting. And even then, small things are better.

  14. Your description of summertime in SF sounds pretty heavenly right now, considering that the heat index has been over 100 this week. Oy. Love the vivid green of your Banana Leaf!
