Unicorn Friday: A summer sock yarn giveaway!

A bunch of old co-workers and I used to have a term, Magical Fridays that morphed into Unicorn Fridays ('Cause they are rare and special ...)

I'm wishing you all a Unicorn Friday to begin a Magical Weekend.

To kick it of I'm ready to gift out a hank of Lorna's Lace, Shepard Sock coming in at nice 430 yards. The colorway is fittingly, "Unicorn Parade".

Feel like winning some unicorn love? Just leave me a comment telling me what makes your summer magical and a way to get in touch with you (i.e. Ravelry handle  etc.). I'll draw for it next week Tuesday.

  1. How generous! I would make a shawl with this so I would have it for a date with my husband at South Beach restaurant when the summer breeze makes the evening magical......

  2. Isn't that pretty! It has been a unicorn Friday. The stars must have aligned or something. Maybe it's just the beautiful weather we've had since last night.
This summer is particularly magical because of that sweet little bundle of adorable that arrived on the 9th. Being a grandparent really is your reward for being a parent. Happy magical weekend!

  3. My magical summers will come to a close soon, because my daughters will be off to do internships and med schools. At least the youngest has one more year of high school before her undergrad. But I fear our family togetherness will be hit or miss in the coming years.

  4. I like the idea of unicorn Fridays. Please don't enter me; my sock stash is super fat. Magical weekend? Hmmm. I will finally get my lower crown work finished - yay! And then it's oink out time at my brother's as we're celebrating our dad's birthday.

    Brilliant colorway.

I would have to say the variety of new fruits and vegetables that are available during the summertime are magical to me. Each year they seem to get better and better.

  13. Lovely yarn, but I'll pass on the giveaway.

The smell of freshly mowed grass, outdoor concerts in the park, and backyard BBQs make summers magical

  14. OMG, Ellen! That is great yarn!
Writing and drawing at outdoor cafes make my summer magical. You just can't do that most of the year in Wisconsin!

  16. Oh that yarn looks like Summer fun! Please don't include me -- I just won yarn from you not that long ago. Our magical summer this year is having our son and his girlfriend within 30 minutes instead of across the state...or earlier, across the world.
