Monday indulgences

In truth this weekend has been indulgent.

Saturday I managed both a cardio and dance class and as a family we made a mixed seafood dinner.

Sunday more exercise and more seafood. The kid went on a play date and we used the time to walk to the Mission neighborhood and have an oyster lunch and go grocery shopping. (Easy, productive good times with The Manfriend). I also got to stop into a yarn store that was closing.

It makes me sad, but look what I got 40% off of! Sock yarn, Whoo to the hoo!

Today our school district is observing this Friday, so kids were in school, but The J. O.B. was closed, so I met with my Knit Club pal CK

(Also a Man City fan, very important point) and we had some good chatting and good eats of course.

Did you indulge? Did you enjoy? How was your weekend?

  2. You go, girl! Great job on the exercise.
I had family visiting so it was a great weekend. But it's hard to see them go home.

  3. Love the luscious yarn that you selected. In order to squeeze and pet yarn, I have to drive 120 miles (one way), so I'm saddened to hear you are losing a local yarn shop.

I got some steps in both Saturday and Sunday. Went out for a meh dinner at a new dining place in town. Looked promising but I'm sticking to my tried and true for a bit!!!

  7. Yes it is a bit sad when a yarn store closes, but oh my goodiness! Look at the beautiful yarn you managed to get. Absolutely love the skeins on each end. I think I would have a hard time letting them marinate in the stash before casting on with them. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend.

  9. Ours was busy and family filled, but we did indulge in lunch out on Sunday with the girls and Diva's Beau. I had an oriental chicken wrap that is just too big to eat! But I sure did my best.

  10. nice yarn adoption! It is sad when a lys closes. I guess we all need to shop regularly to keep them in business. Your dinner looks divine.

  12. What yarn store closed? I visited a friend who just had a mastectomy and is facing chemo and radiation because they found the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Then I went yum cha with two other PTA mums.
