This is my latest playdate, Banana Leaf gifted to me by the fabulous Andi. I'm working this in Madelinetosh Prairie, colorway is "leaf", fitting non?
Not the best photo, but you know, it was nice to work on it a bit with my Mint Lemonade waiting for lunch. :)
This past weekend, we went out to my in laws to have lunch and visit with family.
The cousins had some couch time together.
And even a few surprises.
You had me at mint lemonade....
ReplyDeleteOh man - I need some frogs in my garden!
ReplyDeleteOh the food!! Yum Yum!
ReplyDeleteA visit, great food , family and knitting! Perfection!
ReplyDeletegreat color for your banana leaf....that's got to be one of my favorite knits ever. Yours is going to be a beauty!!!
ReplyDeletelove your banana leaf!! gorgeous saturated pretty shade of green.
ReplyDeleteYour banana leaf is gorgeous. And lamb chops on the grill - so yummy. And the cake with pinot? I'll fly right out to join you. Your MIL's garden looks so nice.
ReplyDeleteOh man that raspberry/strawberry cake looks GOOD!
ReplyDeleteGreat cousins images. The girls are going to be all over that boy of yours.
ReplyDeleteLove the garden harvest. Mmmmm the fruit cake is so pretty looking!
Cousins are awesome. I grew up with mine throughout childhood. That's pretty cool how a frog can get into your MIL's backyard. She has a nice spread. I wanna come over for lamb chops and that cake! I like the simple details in that shawl pattern. I haven't ventured into lace yarn yarn.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwww...what a cute little tree frog!!!
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks mighty delicious!
Your Banana Leaf is so perfect in that color -- and, yes, the colorway name makes it even more perfect.
ReplyDeleteI envy that you have cousins around. My kids are older than all their cousins, plus we live far away from them. We visited a lot when mine were growing up, but it's not the same.
Sounds like a fun time. Looks like you're going to have a pretty shawl in a fun color.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post - knitting and lemonade certainly go well together. That cucumber wouldn't stand a chance if I spied it first: cukes are my favorite snacks!
ReplyDeleteFun times with the family!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Looks like a fabulous time was had and that garden seems to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures Ellen!! The lettuce brought back memories of the year I grew a salad garden patch of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and spinach. We had amazing salads all summer. Cute little frog on the cuke!
ReplyDeleteYour Banana Leaf looks amazing is that beautiful green, Ellen!! Almost makes me want to cast on another, but considering I still have to finish mine...I will hold off.
ReplyDeleteLove the garden picks. Makes me green with envy.
And of course in true Ellen-fashion, your posts always leave me hungry!
Lots of green, leafy things this post! Mint Lemonade, oh yum!!! I have an iced tea maker, so I make my favorite Stash tea - chocolate mint. Then I have a pitcher to enjoy whenever.
