Little bits of green

The knitting is slow growing but it's going.

This is my latest playdate, Banana Leaf gifted to me by the fabulous Andi.  I'm working this in Madelinetosh Prairie, colorway is "leaf", fitting non?

Not the best photo, but you know, it was nice to work on it a bit with my Mint Lemonade waiting for lunch. :)

This past weekend, we went out to my in laws to have lunch and visit with family.

The cousins had some couch time together.

But they also got out into my MILs garden.

Lots of pretty things.

Tasty things

Raspberry and wild strawberry cake avec Pinot Noir
lamb loin chops seasoned by MIL, cooked by Manfriend
And even a few surprises.
why, hello there!

  9. Cousins are awesome. I grew up with mine throughout childhood. That's pretty cool how a frog can get into your MIL's backyard. She has a nice spread. I wanna come over for lamb chops and that cake! I like the simple details in that shawl pattern. I haven't ventured into lace yarn yarn.

  11. Your Banana Leaf is so perfect in that color -- and, yes, the colorway name makes it even more perfect.
I envy that you have cousins around. My kids are older than all their cousins, plus we live far away from them. We visited a lot when mine were growing up, but it's not the same.

  13. What a fun post - knitting and lemonade certainly go well together. That cucumber wouldn't stand a chance if I spied it first: cukes are my favorite snacks!

  16. Wonderful pictures Ellen!! The lettuce brought back memories of the year I grew a salad garden patch of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and spinach. We had amazing salads all summer. Cute little frog on the cuke!

  18. Lots of green, leafy things this post! Mint Lemonade, oh yum!!! I have an iced tea maker, so I make my favorite Stash tea - chocolate mint. Then I have a pitcher to enjoy whenever.
