A Case of Second Sock Syndrome?

I have been knitting small things as I said I would after the big shawl.

Hats and socks.

However it is the holiday season. Work is a little bonkers.

My family is kind of bonkers.

So I'm going from one mode to the next ... which apparently includes my sock knitting.

In progress, 2 different pairs. Mind the Gap and Gingerbread Socks.

I'm currently focusing on finishing the Gingerbread socks because, hello, 'tis the season. Then I'm moving on to more seasonal socks.

You can blame Woolythyme   and Donna over at Knit1Spin2, flashing all her holiday goodness at me. I couldn't resist when I called the LYS and they confirmed, we have only 4 balls left in stock. Come and get it now...

So I did.

  1. Those Heritage Prints are really beautiful, and they definitely hit a homerun with the Christmas colorway!

  2. Oh, finish those Holiday socks, just beautiful! Sometimes knitting goes wonky-go with it, the landing will be fine.

  3. Thank-you for the heads up about the shortage for the Cascade Holiday socks yarn. I was able to order the last one online at my LYS. :)! I will be knitting them as soon as I get them so you are 1 sock ahead of me.

  6. I don't blame you. You get all happy with one sock completed and then you're like oh damn, I have another to do. I want to try two at a time one time or just knit one sock of one design and then start another of another and then go back.

  9. That's how I ended up with a four-pack of Pumpkin Bourbon Barrel Beer last night. They only had 3 four-paks left. I had to have it. Good marketing by the liquor store guy, eh? He probably had PLENTY in the stockroom, but I fell for it. LOL

The socks look great. I love both those colorways.
